Register a new student account
Get the class code or link from your teacher
The code is 8 letters and numbers, shown next to the class name on the teacher's Manage Students and Classes page. A registration link opens the same form with the code pre-filled. More detail on the class code page.
Go to deltamath.com/students and click Register
The page shows two buttons: Log In for existing accounts and Register for new ones. First-time users choose Register.
Enter the class code
Type all 8 characters. The code is not case-sensitive, but 0 (zero) and O, and 1 and l, are easy to confuse; if the code is rejected, retype those characters.
Fill in your name and choose email or Google
Use the name your teacher will recognize on a roster. You can register with an email and password, or click Sign up with Google to use a school Google account with no separate password.
Confirm and land on the dashboard
After submitting you are logged in and see the class and any assignments already posted. Bookmark deltamath.com/sign-in for next time.
Join an additional class with an existing account
New school year, new teacher, same account. While logged in, open the new teacher's registration link or go to deltamath.com/students, click Register, and enter the new code; DeltaMath detects that you are signed in and simply adds the class. Your history from previous classes stays attached to the account.
Schools that use Clever, ClassLink, Canvas, or Schoology
If your school has an INTEGRAL site license with an integration, you may never see a class code. Accounts are created by the roster sync and you access DeltaMath by clicking its tile in Clever or ClassLink, or by opening an assignment inside Canvas or Schoology. Do not register a separate account in that case; it will not be linked to your class.
What the student dashboard shows
| Area | What it means |
|---|---|
| Assignment list | Each assignment with its due date, the skills inside it, and a completion percentage per skill. |
| Required count | How many correct answers each skill needs (teachers commonly set 3 to 10). The bar fills as you get problems right. |
| Penalty | Some assignments subtract progress on a wrong answer (a penalty of 1 means one extra correct answer is now needed). Others have no penalty. The setting is per assignment. |
| Show Example | Opens a fully worked similar problem without affecting your score. Available on most skills. |
| Show Solution | Appears after you submit, if the teacher enabled solutions. Shows the steps for the exact problem you just answered. |
| Video | A short instructional video per skill, visible only in PLUS and INTEGRAL classes. |
| Late work | Assignments can stay open after the due date with a late credit percentage the teacher chooses; the dashboard labels them. |
Tips that save the most time
- Read the required count before starting. A skill needing 3 correct with no penalty is a five-minute task; one needing 10 with a penalty rewards slowing down.
- Use the math keyboard for fractions and radicals rather than typing decimals; exact answers are graded exactly. The answers page covers formatting rules.
- Open Show Example on the first problem of any skill you have not seen before, not after your first miss.
- If the same skill keeps marking you wrong, look it up in the skill guides; each one lists the exact mistakes DeltaMath catches.
