What DeltaMath is
DeltaMath is a browser-based math practice platform used in most U.S. middle and high schools. A teacher builds an assignment by picking skills from a library of more than 2,500, sets how many correct answers are required, and chooses a due date. Students log in, work problems that are generated fresh from a bank of roughly 100 variants per skill, and get graded instantly.
It started in 2009 as a single practice program a New York City teacher wrote for his Algebra 2 class after a quadratic-formula quiz went badly. By 2010 any teacher could create a free account; by 2026 the company reports 180,000 teacher users and 10 million students a year.
What students see
- An assignment list with due dates and a completion percentage per skill.
- One problem at a time, with a math keyboard for fractions, radicals, and exponents.
- Immediate right/wrong feedback; incorrect answers can add penalty problems.
- Show Example (a worked similar problem) and, when the teacher allows, Show Solution after submitting.
- On PLUS and INTEGRAL classes, an embedded help video for each skill.
