DeltaMath solver: what exists, and two tools that show every step
People searching for a DeltaMath solver usually want one of two things: the answer to the problem on screen, or a way to understand how to get it. The first does not exist for randomized problems. The second is built into DeltaMath and supplemented by the tools below.
What DeltaMath itself offers
Show Example: before you answer, a complete worked problem of the same type. Free on every tier, no penalty.
Show Solution: after you submit, the steps for your exact problem, if the teacher turned it on. See how answers work for the four settings.
Help videos: on PLUS and INTEGRAL classes, a short video per skill.
Built-in calculators: a scientific calculator and a statistics calculator with 1-Var Stats, regression, and normal distribution functions, available from the student menu.
Step-by-step linear equation solver
Solves any equation in the form ax + b = cx + d. Set c to 0 for one-variable-side equations like 2x − 5 = 11.
3x − 7 = x + 5
2x − 7 = 5 (subtract x from both sides)
2x = 12 (add 7 to both sides)
x = 12 / 2 (divide both sides by 2)
x = 6
Slope from two points
m = (8 − 2) / (4 − 1) = 6/3 = 2
Rise 6, run 3. The line goes up from left to right.
Slope-intercept form: y = 2x
How to use these tools with an assignment
Enter the numbers from your own problem, or from the Show Example problem.
Read each line of the working and say why that step is allowed (subtract from both sides, divide both sides).
Close the tool and redo the problem on paper without looking.
Enter the answer in DeltaMath using the format rules on the answers page.
For skills these tools do not cover, the skill guides include a worked example in the same step-by-step layout: quadratic formula, factoring, radicals, logarithms, systems, and inequalities.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an official DeltaMath solver?
No. DeltaMath provides Show Example (a worked similar problem) and Show Solution (steps for your submitted problem, when the teacher enables it). It does not offer a tool that solves an unanswered problem for you.
Do DeltaMath solver extensions or bots work?
Browser extensions and bots that claim to auto-answer DeltaMath break when the platform updates, violate school acceptable-use policies, and are visible in the time-per-problem data teachers see. During DeltaMath tests, other tabs and tools inside DeltaMath are locked as well.
Can I use Photomath, Symbolab, or Desmos with DeltaMath?
For homework practice, teachers generally allow calculators and step-by-step apps as learning aids; ask yours. Keep in mind those tools do not know DeltaMath's formatting rules, so you still need to enter the answer in the expected form.
Why does the solver here only handle linear equations and slope?
Because those are the skills where seeing every step helps most and where the steps are unambiguous. For quadratics, radicals, and logarithms the method guides walk through worked examples instead.
